Author Information Guidelines

The official conference language is English. The programme will be structured through different types of presentations: plenary lectures, lectures and oral poster presentations.

Plenary lectures
Each plenary speaker will have 40 minutes' speaking time.

Lectures
Each presenting author has 20 minutes of speaking time (including 5 minutes of discussion). Therefore, please plan your lecture time of 15 min.

The lecture rooms are equipped with a beamer (format 16:9), a laptop (Windows 7/8 and MS Office 2010) and a presenter.

Please prepare your presentation as an MS Office 2007 or 2010 document (.ppt, .pptx) using one of the following fonts: Arial, Times New Roman, Symbol, Courier New. Please note that only PowerPoint presentations and PDF presentations are possible.

Video presentations are not provided!

You have the possibility to upload your presentation slides to the conference laptop before the start of the event and during the breaks in the respective lecture room. Please use this opportunity to avoid losing valuable presentation time and keep the presentation ready on a USB stick. A technical assistant will help you.

Oral Poster Presentations
Authors of oral poster presentations have a speaking time of 4 minutes. A maximum of 5 slides may be presented. The slides are to be sent by e-mail to the conference office until 17 April 2020. There is no possibility to play the presentations during the event. There is no slide template.

Poster walls for posters of the oral poster presentations
For the authors of the oral poster presentations, a poster wall is available for hanging up the posters. The posters are to be brought to the conference in printed form.
The posters may have a maximum width of 0.97 m and a height of 1.25 m. We recommend poster size A0. Poster strips will be provided for mounting the posters. The poster walls are marked with the corresponding poster numbers. The poster numbers are shown in the program booklet.

The posters will be on display during the entire conference and can be discussed with the conference participants during the breaks.

The posters can be placed on Monday evening from 18.00 to 20.00 or on Tuesday morning from 08.00. The posters will remain on display for the entire duration of the conference.
